When the Su-27 “Flanker” and MiG-29 “Fulcrum” came onto the scene in the 1980s, they represented a significant generational leap in technology compared to earlier Soviet fighters.
The MiG-27K is the final Soviet version of the MiG-27 ground attack aircraft, derived from the MiG-23. This variant of the MiG-27 differs from previous versions mainly through the inclusion of an onboard laser designator and compatibility with TV-guided weapons systems. I can agree with you that the F-14 will most definitely win the dogfight, as the MiG-31 isn't very maneuvrable, whereas the Tomcat is (only slightly less than the F-15). But it is not easy to predict which one will win the BVR fight.
Yes it would. I will keep saying this. The F-14 would have no equal until the MiG-29 or Su-27 are introduced. It's a bonafide 4th gen fighter and the performance gap between even late 3rd gen and 4th aircraft is a gulf. It’s hard to say honestly. The viggen is a late example of a gen 3 fighter, same with the floggers.
The MiG-27 is a Soviet Ground Attack Aircraft available to PACT forces. It was introduced in Wargame: AirLand Battle The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-27 (NATO Reporting Name "FLOGGER-D") is a single-engine, single-seat, supersonic ground attack platform developed for the Soviet Air Force. First flown in 1970, the MiG-27 was a development of the MiG-23 family. The type featured a revised nose

As introduced in 1970, this twin-engine interceptor, the fastest combat aircraft ever in active service, registered speeds of Mach 2.7 and 2.8, with an operational ceiling above 24,400 m…

The MiG-29 and the F-5 begin by flying in fingertip formation, with the Fulcrum tucked in behind the American-made fighter’s left wing. As the MiG pulls level with the F-5, the latter launches
MiG-29 has distinct ITR advantage vs blk50 throughout most of the envelope. If you ask my opinion, slow is relative. Generally speaking, MiG-29 and Su-27 sees a slightly greater performance drop at transonic regime, probably due to their wide bodies disrupting its area ruling. However all 4th gen aircraft will sustain turns best around M0,85.
The Mikoyan MiG-27 "Flogger" was derived from the successful MiG-23 "Flogger" interceptor and made into a dedicated ground attack aircraft. The swing-wing capabilities of the original Flogger lent itself well to the low-level activities and short take-off and landings inherent in the close-support role. However, the MiG-27 failed to become as
